A NOTE FROM LEONARD
When the Only Word is Thanks!
As we come to the end of our program year, we must note that Betsy Camarra has decided to stop teaching. Betsy has taught in our Sunday School for decades. Thank you, Betsy. Please seek out Betsy and thank her for her love of our children and her ministry of teaching.
I am a firm believer in cause and effect. My children have endured my constant words, “Nothing good happens by accident”. What I mean by that - what I want them to understand, is that good and important things take effort. If I ever get a tattoo it will be, “Nothing good happens by accident”.
And this is why it is so important that we marvel at what Betsy has done here as a teacher. We have all had the experience of reminiscing about the teachers we had growing up. How Mrs. Baker taught us to read or Mr. Smith taught us how to memorize, those skills and experiences were life changing. And they didn’t happen by accident!
Betsy’s “retirement” gives us the opportunity to say thanks. It also reminds us that very, very, good things like helping children to grow up takes sustained effort. Thank you, Betsy.
Blessings,
Leonard
WORDS FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
CHILDREN'S BLURB
The children decorated the sugar cookies that the youth baked for coffee hour. Sunday school is winding down for this calendar year. I am hoping to get the children more involved in the Sunday services during the summer months. The children will have a new mission when they start the school year back up and I will let you know those details when they are firmed up. Many things are happening and starting to take shape for both the youth and the children. I welcome all ideas and suggestions so please feel free to sit and have a chat anytime.
Peace be with you all.

NURSERY
The Nursery is now located on the main floor across from Knox Chapel/Multi-Purpose Room.
The Nursery will open Sundays at 10:00 am and close at 11:30am. Over the fall we monitored when children were in the Nursery and discovered that the above time will cover the needs of families with nursery-aged children..
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
